Subscriber? Dare I say, *fan*? Yes, someone who made raves in my comment sections (particularly my short "Making Faces") decided to subscribe to me. That makes 38 total, and a grand total of 10 subscribers.
Unfortunately, I've been neglecting this blog of late. I've been dealing with depression, so I crashed out on a lot of things. It was probably inevitable from my move to Hawaii, and away from my best friend Sam. Online "friends" just aren't the same as being around a friend in person. Anyway, I'm smart enough to have sought out treatment, so I'm slowly getting my blog legs back.

1 New Friend On Pownce: Ki from New Zealand
I've been getting several friend requests on Pownce, but they seem kind of random. Mainly guys from other countries. In fact, it seems like Pownce is populated by nothing more than random guys from other countries.
I finally added one of these complete stranger friend requests, mainly because this one, Ki, is from New Zealand, and I have a fondness for New Zealand after seeing "The Lord of the Rings". Lame reason, I know.
It seems that Pownce isn't particularly useful as a social networking tool. It seems to be little more than an advanced form of Twitter (and Twitter's only appeal is its glaring simplicity).

New Friend: Doug Schell
Well, old friend really, found through Facebook. We went to college together, lived in the same apartment complex (the infamous Van Buren Apts off Van Buren in Phoenix, behind HoneyBears (world famous ribs apparently), across the street from the main Phoenix post office and that weird castle covered in Saguaro). He used to give me a ride to campus, and I discovered Nirvana and Green Day from those commutes (for which I am eternally grateful). We also argued about the Bible, but that is another matter.
Facebook Groups
I decided to amp up my facebook friend getting skills, so I have joined these groups:
I have also created this group:
Invisible People (was feeling very invisible at work today, as was not invited to game night free food frenzy (long story)).
- Starbucks Anonymous (local to Honolulu)
- Mrs. Weasley Appreciation
- Half Price Books
- Half Price Books Lover
- According to Newton's Law of Gravitation, i'm naturally attracted to you

New Friend: Paula Fuga
Wow, this is really cool. Paula Fuga has accepted my friend request on MySpace. I saw her perform at the last poetry slam, and she is also a well-respect musician here in Hawaii. She has an incredible voice. Take some time to listen to her music if you like Reggae, Hawaiian, or R&B. She also has a song on her MySpace page that was a collaboration with Jack Johnson.
